Elemental Fan Workshop with Setsuna!
Level One
Setsuna will share with you the multi-faceted uses of the silk fan in Chinese dance! Included will be a brief summary of some of the various fans used in authentic Chinese dances. Setsuna will then show you how to blend them seamlessly into your Bellydance and create beautiful effects that will leave an stunning impact on your audience. Setsuna will be working with half-tail fans, you will need two fans for this workshop. We do have a limited selection in our retail area.
Shiny, Pretty Things!
Level Two
Take what you've learned in level one and explore a whole new level of your fan dance with expression! Learn about various moods and other concepts with the silk fan as you blend them with combination moves and performance structure. A choreography "skeleton" will be presented by Setsuna as participants fill in the gaps with specific moves learned in level one, creating a unique, collaberative experience for everyone.

The Mysterious Veil
with Zorina!
Not just your normal veil workshop! Zorina will demonstrate how to use your veil without relying on choreography! Using a wide variety of music, Zorina will share with you veil moves that go with the mood, tempo and style of the music in an effort to set up each participant to know how to use their veil spontaneously to both recorded and live music.
